STORY

Born into the world a triplet, I’ve only ever known shared space. From my very first moments, I learned how to listen, attune, and understand those around me. This early, intimate understanding of shared human experience shaped the way that I see the world and continues to guide me as a therapist.

Similarly, my journey with music began very early on with an affinity for music in every sense of the word. I learned that music always welcomed me with open arms and accepted me for who I was. It quickly became my safe haven and the space I could show up as my most authentic self.

At the age of 14, I was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Music never left my side, and it proved to me that it brought upon wellness and ease during harrowing moments. I felt personally moved by music throughout my fight with cancer and knew deeply that this was something to be shared with others.

I was fortunate to find the field of music therapy, and obtain  both my Bachelor’s (2019) and Master’s (2021) degrees in Music Therapy through Molloy University with a minor in Psychology. During my studies, I became classically trained as a vocalist, and completed my 900hr clinical internship with The Rebecca Center for Music Therapy where I was privileged to work with children and adolescents within the neurodiverse community.

I went on to work in Behavioral Health where I worked through the COVID-19 pandemic, and music therapy became recognized as an essential service.

One day while thrifting, I came across a Tibetan singing bowl laying modestly in the kitchen section amongst many other bowls. I felt like it was calling out to me, asking me to take it home. I immediately picked it up, overjoyed that I was the new proud owner of my very first singing bowl – but what I didn’t quite understand was how it was going to change my world forever.

One ring of this bowl and I felt my nervous system relax. I felt a familiarity. It felt like home.

I found a desire and need to go deeper into my calling to be a sound healer, and began introducing sound into my work as a music therapist. I instantly noted the immediate relief it provided individuals. This led me to completing my sound healing certification through Sage Academy of Sound and Buffalo Firefly Wellness NYC where I studied the deep history and science behind sound healing, and walked through my own transformative experiences.

As I further my practice, my definition for music has evolved. I am a believer that music can be any utterance of sound, as well as it can be silence. I have come to understand that music is not about a performance, rather it is a part of our inner-being, connecting us deeper to ourselves, and the world around us.

My practice combines evidence-based therapeutic practices with intuitive sound healing techniques. This combination allows me to offer individuals not only the highest level of professional care, but also a profound compassionate, deeply empathetic presence.

Thank you for being here, and I look forward to sharing in sound with you!
